I finally watched The Hangover this weekend, and I am underwhelmed. If it hadn’t been so oversold as the funniest movie since.. ever, I might have written the following as a review:
Hey, here’s a movie that’s kind of funny. Almost as good as director Todd Phillips’ Old School. And that dude Zach Galifianakis is a star.
As things stand now, I have to say I just didn’t find it that funny. Go watch Old School. It’s not great, but it’s better than this.
But I’ll still say Galifianikis is a star.

I think it’s like Avatar. If I had seen it now, after all the hype, I would have been wondering what all the fuss was about. Thankfully, I saw it IMAX 3D before most of the world did. So- Hangover is good-ish, but what’s all the fuss about?
yeah.. I think you din’t enjoy the movie because of the hype.. I have heard exact same reactions about Slumdog Millionaire from folks who watched it after the Oscar buzz.. We found hangover really funny.. not the funniest movie ever.. but it was hilarious! we watched it really late at night with a large group.. may be the company matters too 🙂
